The Center at Western Heights
At Western Heights Baptist Center it is our mission to meet the needs of all people—physical needs and most importantly, spiritual needs—by offering free food and clothing and household items and by teaching God’s Word and by introducing people to Jesus Christ!
Get Involved at Western Heights
We love our volunteers! Contact us if you can help with meals, food distribution, Bible Studies, tutoring, or special events like block parties or school supply distribution. We are grateful your interest in serving alongside us at Western Heights Baptist Center. You have the opportunity as you volunteer to extend the love and grace of our Savior! Even if you don’t have the time that it takes to come into the center, there are many ways that you can invest in God’s work being done here! Please consider partnering with Western Heights …
… by supporting the Knox County Association of Baptists.
… by praying for the peole we serve—pray that they will be receptive to the Gospel.
… by getting involved in ministry projects of KCAB and Western Heights throughout the year.
… by organizing or participating in regular food drives. This in an urgent and ongoing need!
… by giving financial gifts to support our ministries. You may also designate your gift to the ministry of your choice, i.e. Market Day, Children’s Ministry or General Operations
… by conducting collections of toilet tissue, cleaning supplies and hygiene items.
… by using your personal contacts and resources to help us meet the needs of those who are struggling. You may know someone who has items of need that they are willing to donate.

Ministry Support
College Scholarships
We have dreamed of helping one of our kids go to college and God has allowed us to witness that dream come true. Sixteen young people who have grown up at the Baptist Center are now in college! We have established a scholarship fund to help other Western Heights kids follow in those footsteps.
School Supplies
The first week of August each year we celebrate our Back to School BASH with a distribution of school supplies to our kids. We would be grateful if you could help us by donating supplies. Contact us for a list.
Children’s Ministries
Our Children’s Ministries are thriving. The WHBC Children’s Choir and other activities give our kids extra confidence in themselves and teach them that their strength is in the Lord. We appreciate your support of this ministry.
