Meet The KCAB Team
Dr. Alan Price
Director of Missions
Dr. Alan Price began serving as the Director of Missions for KCAB in November of 2024. He received a Bachelor in Business Administration with a major in Accounting from the University of Georgia. After graduating in 1988, he attended Mid-America Baptist Theological Seminary where he received a Masters of Divinity degree in 1992. While attending seminary, he met his future wife, Tracy, and they were married on July 16, 1994. God has blessed their family with two children, Lauren and Jacob.
Alan was ordained at Bellevue Baptist Church in Memphis, Tennessee, in May 1996. He has since completed a Doctorate in Expository Preaching at The Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky, where he graduated in May of 2003. From 2006 to 2024, Alan was the Senior Pastor at Beaver Dam Baptist Church in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Millie Badgett
Facilities & Finance Assistant
Millie has seen many changes in the Association in 30+ years of ministry service here. She began working in 1988 as a part-time receptionist and quickly became secretary to the DOM. Over the years she has learned every position here, and is a living history record of KCAB and Knoxville churches. Her love for Christ and others is evident in her servant-minded work ethic. There is no task too small or too much trouble for her to take on. She is the engine of our office and ready to assist to accomplish our ministry work

Travis Henderson
Director at The Center at Montgomery Village
Travis was brought on as the Director of The Center at Montgomery Village at the end of 2021, and he is already doing a tremendous job. Travis is most recently the Pastor of Fairview Baptist Church in Mohawk, TN. He previously served at Glenwood Baptist Church in Powell and held several leadership positions in our Association. He and his family have been active in the ministry at Montgomery Village and bring a passion for serving the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the people in this community.

Shannon Washam
Director at The Center at Western Heights
Shannon joined the KCAB team in 2004 with a growing desire to make disciples and minister to the disadvantaged. What a surprise to find the inner city to be a ripe mission field of adults and children waiting to experience the love of Christ. With a team of committed volunteers, Shannon serves the people in that area with a great passion. Shannon and his wife Jean Ann, have three energetic teenagers that sustain them in a busy lifestyle of running to games and events.

Carter Brown
Director of Camp Ba-Yo-Ca
Carter joined the KCAB team in 2020 as the Director of Camp BaYoCa, bringing with him over a decade of hands-on experience and deep passion for camp ministry. His journey with Camp BaYoCa began at just fifteen, serving as a counselor and kitchen staff member. Over the years, he’s worn nearly every hat the camp has to offer, gaining a unique and well-rounded perspective on what makes camp life impactful.
Carter holds a Master of Divinity from Gateway Seminary. He and his family are thrilled to be part of the Camp BaYoCa community and are excited about the future God is shaping here in the heart of beautiful East Tennessee.
