Credentialing Fee:
The credentialing fee is $36. This fee will cover not only the cost of the ID and background check but also the cost of any of the basic training courses a volunteer wants to take over the next 3 years.
In order to be fully credentialed, you will need to take at least one specialized class after you have taken the prerequisite course of “Introduction to Southern Baptist Disaster Relief.”
Registration Forms:
Disaster Relief volunteers can now download the following forms to their computers and fill them out and bring them with you to training or send them to the DR office. By typing these forms, you are helping us save time with data entry and increasing our accuracy of keeping your records.

Friday, March 27 5:30pm – Registration 6:00 – 9:00pm – Evening Classes:
- Introduction to Disaster Relief (2 hours)
- Chaplain (Requires letter of recommendation and has prerequisites)
Saturday, March 28 7:30 - 8:30am – Registration
8:00 - 8:25am – Devotion 8:30 - 10:00am – Session 1 Classes:
- Chainsaw Operation & Safety (Classroom) 1 ½ hours
- Chaplain (continued)
- Mass Feeding (3 hours)
- Fire Recovery (1 ½ hours)
10:00 – 10:15am – Break
10:15 – 11:45am - Session 2 Classes:
- Chaplain (continued)
- Mass Feeding (continued)
- Bucket Truck (Class A) Operation & Safety (Recommendation Required; Chainsaw Certification and DR Experience Required)
- Shower & Laundry (1 ½ hours)
- Flood Recovery (1 ½ hours)
11:45 – 1:00pm - Lunch (off campus- several restaurants nearby)
1:00 – 2:30pm Session 3 Classes:
- Bucket Truck (Class A) Operation & Safety (Hands-on training will commence at conclusion of classroom)
- Chaplain (continued)
- Spiritual Preparation and Evangelism
- Rebuild (1 ½ hours)
- FormStack/Crew Chief Duties & Paperwork
2:45 – 4:15pm Session 4 Classes:
- Re-Certification in Disaster Relief (1¼ hour)
- Chaplaincy (continued)
- Bucket Truck (Class A Hands-On)
- Spiritual Preparation and Evangelism (continued)
- Damage Assessment - (DR call-out experience) 1 ½ hours
- FormStack/Crew Chief Duties & Paperwork (Continued)
