Knox County Association has a long history of reaching and teaching through
the Sunday School. There are approximately 54,000 people enrolled in Sunday
School in the 154 congregations of the association, with approximately
26,000 in attendance each Sunday. Sunday School is one of the most
effective tools Southern Baptists have for reaching people for Christ.

The Light Team is a group of well trained leaders in churches across Knox County Association who are ready to provide help to you and your church. If you need assistance in any area from Preschool through Senior Adults, please call on us and we will put you in touch with the person you need, or you may contact them directly yourself. Each year the Sunday School organization offers a major training experience for our churches, usually in August. In 2002 there were more than 200 workers who attended training. There is also a major workshop just for pastors and Sunday School Directors each year in August. In 2002 we had one of our very best experiences with this meeting as we heard about "Growing Your Sunday School" from Tim Clark at Central Bearden, and from Rev. Charles Lynch, pastor of North Acres Baptist Church, who brought the inspirational message. |
