Western Heights Baptist Center


Shannon Washam has been Director of Western Heights Baptist Center since February 1, 2004. Please pray for him as he ministers to the people of Western Heights.
Located at 1230 W. Scott St.

Community Market is conducted each Tuesday and Thursday morning, providing breakfast and opportunity to shop for food and clothing, along with visiting with volunteers who come to assist and share the love of Christ. Weekly Bible Study is provided.

Throughout the year children's story time is conducted in the afternoons. During the summer months opportunity is provided for children to attend Camp BaYoCa. Also Vacation Bible School is conducted at the center several times during the summer.

Worship is conducted each Wednesday morning at 10:30 at the center. More than 30,000 people are served by the center annually.

  2. Volunteers to assist in Community Market on Tuesdays and Thursdays
  3. Repainting of the interior of the center (volunteers)
  4. Replacing of playground equipment
  5. Central air on lower level of the center ($18,000)
  6. Replacement of Center Van ($25,000)
  7. Food and clothing for market
